Dr. Mohsen Amini received NSF CAREER Award

Congratulations to Dr. Mohsen Amini for receiving the prestigious NSF CAREER Award. As part of this award, Dr. Amini received $513,000 to support his research on cloud computing. Multimedia streaming is an integral part of numerous applications, operating across the edge-to-cloud continuum. This includes the applications in hospitals, traffic control, gaming, and manufacturing among many others. Particularly, the present COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the reliance on streaming applications in education, patient-care, and business. The goal of this project is to lay the foundation for the next generation applications operating based on multimedia streaming.
